They claim they mailed it over 2 weeks ago, but still no phone back to me. A couple days later they said that it was still (NOT TRUE) attached to apple, I could leave it with them and the now-worthless phone (according to them) they would kindly recycle for me. IT WAS DEFINITELY NO LONGER ATTACHED TO APPLE.
They said that it was still attached to my apple account. I emailed them and they managed to find it. They had it for a month no word from them. I sent in my phone, which is in pristine condition. Here's my experience with Gazelle: they quoted me $114. Safe to say I will never do business with this company again and certainly not recommend it to anyone I know. Not only is it bait and switch but apparently they don't communicate with one another at all so now I assume I will be getting my iPad back but not the money the customer service representative offered me on Sunday. Clearly whatever was promised on Sunday was not documented or recorded as stated. However, a day later I received an email quoting the same $68 they offered 10 days ago. At that point I thought maybe these people can redeem themselves. The person I spoke with was very nice and apologetic and offered to give me more than the original amount. I received a reply to my review faster than they answer the phone! "someone will call within 24 hours" they wrote. Maybe they count on you not wanting it back, but I would rather give it away.
The device did not have scratches but even so it is a very big difference between what they offer before you send in the device and what they offer when they already have it. The amount offered was $157 and after three weeks I got an offer for $68 claiming the device had too many scratches. I purposely downgraded the quality of my iPad as to not be disappointed with the amount offered. Simply put - it's a total bait and switch scam.
